Graduated from design school at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres, he spent three years in England in order to specialize with a Bachelor of Design and a Master at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design / BIAD-BCU which he graduated with distinction in 2005. He returned to France where he collaborated with several great design agency.
Today he is working as an independent in his own parisian studio. Florent Coirier, designs simple products, with a strong semantics, always practical and functional. Ranging from lighting to furniture, through small objects, the studio develops products based on solid knowledge of industrial processes. Each project is developed in close collaboration with manufacturers.
Florent Coirier aims to create timeless projects, most of them being simple at first glance, but with specific details that make them unique and thoughtful objects. «We believe in the object with meaning, and gives meaning to everyday life.» Formal research through materials and technologies is essential to the process of project designs.
